We recommend students save a copy to a safe place holding all their certifcates and training diploma’s, alternatively they can contact their insurance provider as they hold copies on file.
Insurance & Licensing
Before offering treatments to paying clients (general public), we highly recommend public liability (beauty treatments) insurance. This will protect you in the event of a claim against you for an accident, injury or damage.
If you are self-employed in the UK, you must register with HMRC for tax and National Insurance purposes.
If you want to run your business from home, please check your mortgage, deeds or tenancy to ensure compliance with their terms.
You should also make enquiries with your local council for change of use or to open business premises to check compliance with local authority licensing.
It is advisable to make these enwuiries and achieve compliance before booking clients for treatments, failure to meet all compliance, legal and licensing requirements invalidates your insurance making you personally responsible.
